Sasha is founding Chief Executive Officer of ISD, responsible for the strategic development of the Institute’s programmes as well as heading up research and policy work in our various programme areas.
Farah Pandith has been a political appointee in the George H.W. Bush. George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama administrations. She left government at the end of January 2014 for Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government where she maintains an affiliation.
Resident Senior Fellow
Rashad Ali is ISD’s Resident Senior Fellow and a counter-terrorism practitioner. He works on deradicalisation initiatives alongside prisons, probation programmes, police and community groups.
Head of Counter Narratives
Zahed is Head of Counter Narratives at ISD, involved across a range of counter-extremism projects focusing on extremism, radicalisation, counter-terrorism, and community conflict.
Senior Research Fellow
Amarnath is a Senior Research Fellow at ISD. He is also a Fellow at The George Washington University’s Program on Extremism and the Co-Director of a study of Western foreign fighters based at the University of Waterloo.

Jonathan Birdwell is Head of Policy and Research at ISD.
Kelsey is a project coordinator, focusing on counter-narratives and is responsible for organising ISD’s regional Innovation Labs.
PA to the CEO and Operations Coordinator
Lauren is responsible for office operations and provides support to the CEO and senior management team.
Chloe is a programme associate, working on strategic development as well as ISD’s online research and programming.
Jacob is a programme associate at ISD. He is developing projects which examine extremist assaults on cultural heritage as well as working on the One to One initiative.
Moli is a project coordinator at ISD, working on both the Youth Civil Activism Network (YouthCAN) and One to One initiative.
Senior Delivery Manager
Natasha is a senior delivery manager working across ISD’s projects and programmes including Youth Civil Activism Network (YouthCAN) and Online Civil Courage Initiative (OCCI).
Harry is a project coordinator at ISD, working on the Strong Cities Network Denmark-MENA exchange programme.
Ben is Finance Coordinator at ISD. He is responsible for the organisation’s finances and provides support to the operations team.

Head of Operations
As Head of Operations, Sarah oversees the financial and operational management of the organisation, including HR, legal, governance and finances.

Media and Communications Coordinator
Caitlin is Media and Communications Coordinator. She is responsible for ISD’s digital, media and design presence.
Charlotte is a programme associate at ISD and is working on a variety of international counter-extremism initiatives including the Policy Planners Network.
Regional Project Manager
Based in Beirut, Khadije is the Regional Project Manager for the Strong Cities Network Municipality Exchange Project with Lebanon, Jordan and Tunisia. She has extensive experience working in the MENA region ranging from the Danish Foreign Service to NGOs. Khadije holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen.
Lucie is programme associate at ISD. Her work focuses on the Extreme Dialogue project, an offline and online education tool aimed for teachers, parents and youth workers to help facilitate safe classroom discussions around extremism and radicalisation.

Louis is Policy and Research Coordinator at ISD. Louis works across the Institute’s educational and research programmes.
Tanya is working as a project coordinator on counter-extremism, primarily on the Institute’s Against Violent Extremism network.
