Frontiers of Europe

The Frontiers of Europe initiative works with the business community, policy makers and experts to inform Western governments and EU policy agendas on Europe's border regions, from the Balkans to Central Asia. In doing so, this initiative seeks to support economic and political stability and more effective European engagement in this strategically important, yet often neglected, neighbourhood region.

In addition to the conferences listed below, ISD has organised a series of closed policy meetings, or 'fireside chats' with leading figures such as Dr Ivo Sanader, the Croatian Prime Minister, Václav Klaus, the President of the Czech Republic and H.E. Carel von Schwarzenberg, Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic.
