4th Meeting of the European Policy Planners' Network (PPN)

10 - 11 February 2009
Berlin

The fourth meeting of the PPN brought together over 25 policy planners and experts on integration, security, the judiciary and government communications from seven  European countries. The meeting, hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Interior, was opened by Markus Kerber, Department Head for Policy Planning, Europe and International Developments. The group discussed several topics including government engagement strategies with Muslims in Europe, challenges and best practices for interacting with foreign governments on domestic engagement, and government communications, messaging and response to crisis. The group also shared their experiences, best practices and key lessons learnt through their governments' handling of crisis communications.
