7th Meeting of the European Policy Planners' Network (PPN)

Deradicalisation Strategies and Approaches

Over 20 policy makers, experts and practitioners met in Copenhagen for the 7^th Meeting of the European Policy Planners’ Network on Countering Polarisation and Radicalisation.  Hosted by the Danish Ministry for Refugees, Immigration and Integration Affairs, the two-day meeting focused on de-radicalisation strategies and approaches across the PPN countries for Far Right and Islamist extremism.  The meeting sessions looked specifically at the conceptual underpinnings of de-radicalisation, existing exit strategies for those who are radicalised and intervention policies on individuals.  ISD presented two working papers to the Network, including an overall comparative framework on de-radicalisation strategies in the PPN countries and an evaluation framework for counter radicalisation policies.
