CEDAR Professional Development Seminar and Drinks Reception

To mark the introduction of the CEDAR Mentoring Programme to Germany, CEDAR hosted an evening of inspiration and networking on Saturday 19 June in the beautiful surroundings of the recently built Duisburg Mosque.
The event gathered professionals and young people for a stimulating evening of exchange including a series of professional development talks, drawing on the life experiences and professional expertise of CEDAR members, an impressive line-up of speakers including Abdul Ahmed Rashid (Germany) ZDF; Siddik Bakir (Germany/UK) Honorary Political Adviser to Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, House of Lords and Famile Arslan (The Netherlands) Founder of Arslan Lawyers.
A reception following the seminar with drinks and buffet brought together members and friends of the CEDAR network, as well as some of the impressive women who have been nominated for the European Muslim Women of Influence List (EMWI) and representatives from the Duisburg DITIB Merkez Moschee.
