Weidenfeld Debate: What does Climate Change mean for Global Governance?
Third in the series
4 March 2010
Magdalen College, Oxford
The third and final debate in the 2010 series will explore whether international responses to climate change represent a shift in the balance of power and new approaches to global governance.
Whether the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen is judged to have been a success or a failure, the balance of power in the world can be said to have changed substantially. Important international decisions can no longer be based purely on the basis of an agreement between the US and Europe, there are new players involved, notably China and India.
Speakers: TBC
Please note this event is open to the public and runs from 16:30 to 18:30.
