Development of Religious Instruction and Institutions in Europe
Expert Consultation
10 - 11 March 2010
Madrid
In March 2010, ISD brought together over 20 leading European religious, academic and community figures to discuss the development of religious instruction in Europe. Hosted in Madrid with the kind support of Casa Arabe, the discussions looked at the roles faith leaders can play in the 21st century, including capacity building within the confessional space. Discussions also focused on the vision for faith leadership over the next 15 – 20 years. There was enthusiasm from the participants to continue this type of exchange, and ISD is looking into possibilities to host similar fora later this year.
