Other Activities and Events
Before starting their academic courses, the Scholars participate in a short Induction Programme which provides them with a thorough introduction to the Scholarship Programme and its objectives, practical advice on settling into Oxford and an opportunity to meet their fellow Scholars across year-groups.
Selection weekend
Applicants who are accepted by the University of Oxford will have their applications forwarded to the Weidenfeld Scholarships Management Team who will select a limited number of candidates to be invited to attend a interview weekend in April. Short-listed candidates spend three days in late April at a venue, just outside Oxford, where they meet other prospective scholars and the ISD team, and undergo a half-hour-long interview with a panel composed of three members of the Advisory Board.
Successful candidates will be notified shortly after the Selection weekend by Oxford University’s Graduate Funding Office.
