Public Policy Analysis Training led by RAND Europe
Each year, a select group of Scholars will be participating in a four-day Public Policy Analysis Course conducted in partnership with RAND Europe. This course will provide the Scholars with in-depth training on policy formulation and critical analysis including group case study work designed for team-building and the development of joint endeavours amongst scholars.
The aim of the five day workshop is to provide scholars with a clear understanding of how to plan and structure a piece of empirical research for policy makers seeking to address a major societal challenge. The workshops provide the Scholars with an opportunity to engage in-depth with the topic and to consider the range of policy options available.
In March 2010 the workshop will focus on International Trafficking and Illegal Markets, during which Scholars will analyse how changes in policies surrounding the legalisation of drugs in particular will impact other illegal markets such as human trafficking.
RAND Europe is an independent not-for-profit research organisation whose mission is to help improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis.
