The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

Jeffrey graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honours from the University of Wisconsin in the US (2009), where he majored in Political Science and International Studies. He subsequently worked for the US Department of Health and Human Services as a Truman-Albright Fellow where he engaged in research and policy analysis on programmes designed to promote economic mobility and self-sufficiency among low-income populations and individuals in poverty. He was an organiser for Fair Wisconsin, a campaign to defeat a state constitutional ban on gay marriage. As an undergraduate, he also founded the Wisconsin Student Lobby, a state non-profit organisation, to challenge governmental funding cuts and advocate for improved quality of education at the University of Wisconsin. Using his Oxford degree, Jeffrey aims to promote international human rights norms through work in the public sector.
