The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

After graduating with distinction from his LL.B. studies at the School of Law, the College of Management in Israel (2009), Noam completed a Bachelor of Civil Law at Oxford as a Weidenfeld Scholar (2011). He has worked as a Law Clerk for the Israeli Parliament and has also taught as Adjunct Junior Lecturer in public international law and jurisprudence at his law school. He is passionate about the role the law can play in promoting human rights and dignity and in facilitating solutions to international political crises, particularly in bringing an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Noam has worked with several NGOs in Israel, and took part in projects aimed at bridging the gap between different segments of its multi-ethnic and multicultural society, for instance setting up workshops for Jewish and Muslim teenagers. Noam intends to create further dialogue to influence political discourse and action by utilising the skills gained during his time at Oxford. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Law at the University of Cambridge and holds a visiting position at Harvard Law School.
