The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

Elnur possesses a strong commitment to legal education and reform in his home country of Azerbaijan. He completed his Magister Juris as a Weidenfeld Scholar at Oxford in 2008. Previously he earned an MA in Civil Law and a BA in Jurisprudence from Baku State University. From 2005 to 2007, Elnur worked as legal advisor at World Frontiers Co. Ltd., a Baku-based company. During this time he was also a lecturer in Disability Rights Law at the Law Faculty of Baku State University and taught International Law and Legal Ethics at the University's American Studies Center.
Since returning to Azerbaijan, he has continued to teach international and disability rights law at Baku State University and been actively engaged in research work on a range of issues including Disability Rights Law, International Energy Security, politics and economics, and Project Finance Transactions.
