The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

Michal completed her MSt in Human Rights Law at Oxford in 2010, where she focussed on the law of armed conflict and minority rights. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESGCI- Paris, and an MA in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam. She is an international development professional, specialising in long term disaster recovery. She has worked in disaster stricken countries, including Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Israel, developing and managing a range of programmes assisting communities affected by man-made and natural disasters, through livelihood recovery, psychosocial care, community building and women's empowerment. Michal's long term vision is to create a cross-country network of civil society leaders tasked with strengthening vulnerable communities and promoting peace.
