The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

Zdenka finished her undergraduate studies in Management at the London School of Economics, where she co-founded and lead the LSE Czech & Slovak Society, with First Class Honours. She completed her MPhil in Economics as a Weidenfeld Scholar in 2011. In 2009, she was awarded the Peter Abell Prize for academic excellence. Zdenka has been active for many years as a volunteer with severely handicapped adults and youths from disadvantaged backgrounds, both in Slovakia and in the UK. Having obtained work experience in the finance industry, she is interested in advisory and other project work in the private and public sectors, particularly relating to her home country.
