The Weidenfeld Scholars
To date 113 Scholars have taken part in the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme. They are an increasingly diverse group, originating from 37 countries, with new Scholars from Kosovo and Yemen joining the 2012-13 cohort. The group studies a wide variety of subjects in 25 different departments.

Ayşe completed her MPhil in Migration Studies in 2011. She received her MA in International Relations from Koc University where her thesis focused on the impact of emigration on social and economic development in Morocco and Turkey. She has worked as a research assistant for the Migration Research Program at Koc University (MiReKoc). In 2005 she has served as a board member of AEGEE-Ankara, part of an international network of students, and whilst involved, established the international politics working group. Ayşe has recently co-authored a book chapter on economic linkages between migration and development. Having graduated, she hopes to continue researching the exact causes of underdevelopment in Turkey.
