Muslims in the European Mediascape

The 'Muslims in the European Mediascape' Research Project was conducted in partnership with the Vodafone Foundation Germany and the British Council, and explored the complexity of media use in an ever-more diverse Europe. The research took an in-depth look at identifying relationships between social cohesion and trends in the use and production of media in view of key variables, including socio-economic background, education, gender, ethnicity, religion, generation, personal and private inter-cultural relationships and age.

Having begun in February 2010, this project, which includes interviews with Muslims and non-Muslims in France, the UK and Germany,  also investigated diversity of media production and programming and its relationship to inter-community attitudes.
