Intelligence and Policing Project

This project aims to identify and propose solutions to the major lacunae in operating relations on the one hand between Intel and Police services and on the other hand between security agencies and Communities in addressing domestic threat. The first major meeting of Intel, police and policy chiefs was held in September 2009 in cooperation with German State Secretary for Intel, Dr. Hanning. Following this meeting there is momentum to develop a Commission of senior retired security officials constituted to further analyse the problems in order to propose policy improvements in 4 European countries and best practices in Community engagement.
